A Part of Two Wholes

The University of Colorado is committed to enriching the lives of our students, faculty, and staff by providing a diverse campus where the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and perspectives is an active part of learning.
The Downtown Campus is one of two campuses of the University of Colorado Denver (UC Denver). The other branch is the Anschutz Medical Campus, and they are located in Aurora.
UC Denver is one university of our three-university system, which includes the Boulder campus and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. The Downtown Campus is also part of the unique three-college Auraria Higher Education Center, sharing its classrooms, library, bookstore, and physical education building with Metropolitan State College of Denver and Community College of Denver.
We are thus part of two college systems, the University of Colorado and AHEC, having the academic identity of one system and the physical plant of another.
